Luna is having a great winter. Seattle has had tons of snow, with more on the way, and Luna has been loving it. Christmas was full of gifts for Luna and she really got into unwrapping them. Some of her favorites were comfy outfits, the Knuffle Bunny and a toy kitchen complete with pots and pans.
Check it out! Young Child Academy had school pics! Here’s the winning shot, with a classic fall scene, ahhh. She loves getting her picture taken, must be the Leo coming out in her.
Luna got some new rain boots a few weeks ago, just in time for the Seattle’s rainy season. She LOVES her boots! Her new favorite activity is practicing putting them on. She probably spends about 1 hour day doing this. Sometimes she gets really frustrated, but check her out below, success!
And here is just a funny video of Luna being cute.
Luna had a two day run as a ladybug this Halloween. On day one she visited her papa at Nintendo, where there was a fun party. In addition to meeting other ladybugs, bees, and scary monsters, Luna also got to meet Mario. As it turns out, she is not yet a huge fan of Mario. Or at least she doesn’t really trust extra-large, blank-eyed Marios, as you can see in the documentation below of her turn in Nintendo’s version of the Santa line. Maybe next year!
Luna took her ladybug act to daycare and the Harvest Party for Day 2. As you can see below, there was pumpkin painting, music making and the general having of fun. Mama and papa got to join in. It was great to see Luna with her pals.
Luna is working on some new dance moves, and they’re pretty great. Much better than her papa’s.
Here you can see here dancing briefly to our new favorites kiddy musical outfits, Bunny Town. We’re trying to make sure Luna doesn’t get too much TV, but who can resist the occasional dance session to funny musical Bunnies? (By the way, the “xylophone song” in one of the episodes is amazing, and worth checking out.)
Luna and Cesar have a deal going. Luna gives Cesar more human food than he ever dreamed possible and Cesar gives Luna love and patience.
Whenever Luna sits down to eat, half of the the food that starts on her plate ends up on the floor and Cesar is right there to play clean up. He’ll eat the dropped peas or chicken or strawberries or tofu within seconds (a skill that has kept him off the slow train to the farm more than once), though he sometimes turns his nose up to bananas. He also trails Luna around the house when she’s munching on apples, toast or crackers, picking up crumbs and licking up hand prints.
Cesar returns the favor by being there for Luna when she bonks her head or scrapes her knee. He’s also patient with her when she mistakenly addresses him as “ca(t)!” or is a bit rough with his tail. He lets her pretend to ride him and doesn’t complain when she steals his kong chew toy.
Here is Luna in the Cesar-saddle.
And here is a typical Luna-Cesar interaction during the day:
And this…well, this is just Luna drooling. We thought it was funny.
